Mario Greco’s revolution at Zurich will see around one-fifth of its 1,900 global executives lose their jobs, according to local press reports, with between 10% and 20% of employees in group functions set to depart.The reports, published in Swiss newspaper NZZ am Sonntag and citing sources within the company, said consultations are ongoing, with those affected to receive notice by the end of August.
The rumoured departures are part of a planned cull of 8,000 jobs by the end of 2018, as part of the group’s planned restructure following Greco’s appointment as chief executive earlier this year.
